About the Role
Wpromote is seeking a forward-thinking, execution-driven Head of AI Strategy & Innovation to lead the strategic integration of AI across the organization. With a strong foundation in AI systems, digital marketing, and operational design, this leader will serve as both a visionary strategist and a hands-on operator.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the execution of Wpromote’s five-part AI strategy, identifying high-value opportunities for transformation and designing scalable solutions with measurable ROI. You’ll manage a Director of AI Solutions focused on prompt engineering and QA, partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Transformation & Integration, Central Operations, and Delivery, and work with external consultants to bring early-stage innovations to life. Responsibilities
- Accelerating gross margin efficiency gains through AI automation of top “jobs to be done”
- Embedding differentiated AI agents that offer differentiated takeaways, insights, and recommendations in PolarisIQ product experiences in partnership with Product and Engineering
- Delivering ROI-positive AI solutions across marketing service delivery
- Fueling thought leadership and pipeline with always-on AI marketing content
- Designing role-specific AI training programs in partnership with L&D
- Managing a Director of AI Solutions, who will be responsible for prompt engineering, QA, building AI agents, data pipeline configuration, and no-code AI solution implementation
- Owning the prioritization, business case evaluation, and requirement gathering for AI initiatives—focusing on scalable, high-return use cases
- Partnering with Product and DSA on AI-powered agentic feature design, UX enhancements, prompt workflows, and no-code alternatives to traditional development
- Collaborating with Transformation & Innovation, Central Operations, People Operations, IT, and business unit leaders to design and implement AI-augmented operational processes, delivering measurable efficiency or capability gains
- Leading research and internal education efforts to identify which emerging AI technologies and tools are most relevant to Wpromote’s business model
- Supporting business stakeholders with 3P AI-vendor evaluations, pilot design, and scaling change management into operations
- Driving internal communications and external thought leadership around AI marketing impact, use cases, product innovations, and current trends
- Designing and curating scalable training curricula in partnership with Learning & Development and department leaders to raise agency-wide AI fluency
Requirements
You Must Have
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, innovation, or technology roles with 1-2 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AI solutions in a business, in a performance marketing, adtech, or advertising agency setting
- Previous people management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating, designing, and deploying AI solutions that drive operational scale and/or product differentiation
- Familiarity with AI tools and approaches including LLMs, agentic workflows, prompt design, vector databases, and no-/low-code platforms
- A strategic mindset with proven experience building prioritization frameworks and assessing ROI on innovation investments
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of translating technical potential into business value
- Experience partnering with product and engineering teams to ship AI-enhanced features and workflows
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity and leading cross-functional teams toward alignment, momentum, and measurable outcomes
Nice to Have
- Experience working with external consultants or vendors to accelerate innovation delivery
- Familiarity with AI software evaluation frameworks and structured experimentation methods
- Understanding of marketing analytics and digital media KPIs
- Exposure to training and change enablement programs for technical and non-technical audiences
