About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise architecture roadmap, emphasizing cloud‑native, microservices and API‑first strategies.
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization, setting standards for Java and Python development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Partner with product, data, and security leaders to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor senior architects and engineering managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and agile delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of best‑in‑class tools and platforms, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software architecture and engineering leadership, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Deep expertise in designing and operating cloud‑native solutions on AWS, including serverless, container orchestration, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Strong command of Java and Python development, microservices patterns, and RESTful API design.
- Proven track record of building high‑performing engineering teams and implementing DevOps/CI‑CD pipelines at scale.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business goals into technical strategy.
