Lead a team of hardware test engineers to develop, execute, and automate validation plans for satellite payloads and ground‑segment hardware, using Python, C++, LabVIEW, and RF test equipment in an Agile environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and oversee hardware test strategies for satellite payloads, ground stations, and on‑orbit compute modules.
- Lead a multidisciplinary test engineering team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development.
- Design, develop, and automate test fixtures and software (Python, C++, LabVIEW) to improve test coverage and repeatability.
- Coordinate with design, integration, and mission operations teams to ensure test requirements are met on schedule.
- Manage test schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation using Agile project management practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hardware test engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and environmental test chambers.
- Strong understanding of satellite payload architecture, communications protocols, and on‑orbit hardware validation.
- Excellent communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
