Hardware Test Engineer responsible for designing, executing, and automating test procedures for power tool components, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and scripts for power tool hardware components.
- Execute functional, performance, and reliability tests using automated and manual test equipment.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions.
- Document test findings, generate detailed reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies relevant to power tool hardware testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware test engineering, preferably in the power tool or industrial equipment sector.
- Proficiency with test automation tools, scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW), and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators).
- Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with industry standards such as IEC, UL, or CE is a plus.
