Lead the design and execution of Hardware‑In‑Test‑Loop environments, leveraging MATLAB/Simulink and Opal‑RT to validate power‑electronics control systems and embedded software across CAN, SPI, UART, and Ethernet interfaces.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain HIL test benches for power‑electronics converters and inverters.
- Implement model‑based development using MATLAB/Simulink and deploy models to Opal‑RT or equivalent real‑time platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART, Ethernet) to interface test hardware with embedded controllers.
- Validate and debug embedded software for power‑electronics applications, ensuring compliance with performance and safety specifications.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate sensor and actuator emulation, enhancing test coverage.
- Document test procedures, results, and provide actionable feedback for product improvement.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in HIL system design and real‑time simulation.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and hands‑on experience with Opal‑RT or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of inverter and converter control, including IGBT, SCR, and SiC technologies.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols and embedded software testing.
- Experience with Simulink Real‑Time or RT‑LAB environments and sensor/actuator emulation is desirable.
