Lead a multidisciplinary hardware engineering team to design, develop, and validate cutting‑edge communication and sensing systems for government space and new technologies, driving the full hardware lifecycle from requirements to production.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of hardware engineers across RF, PCB, FPGA, and embedded domains.
- Own the end‑to‑end hardware development lifecycle, from requirement definition and architecture design to prototype validation and production hand‑off.
- Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision making to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and program management teams to integrate hardware with mission‑critical platforms.
- Establish and maintain test plans, qualification procedures, and documentation for compliance with government and industry standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with a strong background in RF and high‑speed digital design.
- Proficiency in PCB layout, signal integrity analysis, and FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog).
- Hands‑on experience with embedded systems, test instrumentation, and validation methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering high‑quality solutions on schedule.
