Embedded Systems Engineer
Level 2/3 Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, validating, and testing advanced electronic systems using FPGA, ASIC, and PCB technologies, ensuring high reliability and performance in mission‑critical applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware components for mission‑critical systems, including FPGA and ASIC implementations.
- Create and maintain VHDL/Verilog code, perform synthesis, place‑and‑route, and timing analysis.
- Design and prototype PCBs, ensuring signal integrity, power delivery, and thermal management.
- Develop and execute test plans, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automated test rigs to validate hardware performance.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and integration teams to meet system requirements and schedule milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware design for aerospace or defense applications.
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, FPGA toolchains (Xilinx/Intel), and PCB design tools (Altium/OrCAD).
- Strong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
