About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and validate electronic hardware, including PCBs, embedded systems, and networking components for naval research and support missions.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, schematics, and technical documentation to guide manufacturing and installation.
- Lead testing and troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve hardware issues, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware with software and system requirements.
- Oversee manufacturing processes, quality control, and installation of hardware in field environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in hardware design, PCB layout, and embedded system development.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, troubleshooting techniques, and quality assurance.
- Excellent technical documentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience with manufacturing oversight and compliance with defense or aerospace standards is a plus.
