Embedded Systems Engineer
Experienced Hardware Engineer to lead embedded system hardware design, development, and testing for medical device projects, utilizing PCB design tools, C/C++ firmware, and compliance with FDA/ISO standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of embedded hardware platforms for medical device applications, from concept through production.
- Create and validate multi‑layer PCB layouts using Altium Designer or equivalent tools, ensuring signal integrity and manufacturability.
- Develop and debug firmware in C/C++ to interface with sensors, actuators, and communication modules.
- Perform hardware verification, functional testing, and failure analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and automated test rigs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of hands‑on hardware design experience.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence, or similar) and a solid understanding of high‑speed signal integrity.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded firmware development.
- Experience with medical device development cycles and familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
