Embedded Systems Engineer
Design and develop embedded hardware, create schematics and PCB layouts, collaborate with firmware teams, and lead board bring‑up, debugging, and validation for multi‑industry customer programs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware solutions for diverse customer programs, from concept through production.
- Create detailed schematics, select appropriate components, and support multilayer PCB layout using tools such as Altium Designer.
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to define hardware‑firmware interfaces, ensuring seamless integration and functional verification.
- Lead board bring‑up activities, perform debugging, validation, and root‑cause analysis to resolve hardware issues.
- Participate in requirements discussions, technical design reviews, and prototype build support to drive design decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of hands‑on embedded hardware design experience.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout, preferably with Altium Designer or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and component selection for high‑performance boards.
- Experience working alongside firmware teams to define interfaces and conduct board bring‑up and debugging.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues and provide clear root‑cause analysis.
