Hardware Designer - PARADOX SECURITY SYSTEMS
Software Engineer
Design and develop electronic hardware for security systems, handling schematic capture, PCB layout, signal integrity, and compliance testing while collaborating with experienced engineers on globally certified products.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Create schematics and detailed PCB layouts using Altium Designer for new security products.
- Perform signal‑integrity analysis, component selection, and power‑distribution design to meet performance targets.
- Develop and execute hardware test plans, including functional, environmental, and EMC testing.
- Ensure designs comply with UL, EN, FCC, and CE certification requirements.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers to integrate hardware into complete solutions.
- Provide documentation, BOM management, and support for manufacturing hand‑off.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands‑on hardware design, including schematic capture and multi‑layer PCB layout.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer (or comparable EDA tool) and strong understanding of signal integrity and power‑distribution networks.
- Experience navigating regulatory standards such as UL, EN, FCC, and CE.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally, solve complex hardware problems, and communicate technical details clearly.
