Software Engineer
Engineer responsible for managing hardware assets across their lifecycle, utilizing ServiceNow, SAP and data analysis tools to ensure accurate inventory, compliance and cost optimization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain end‑to‑end hardware asset lifecycle processes, from procurement to disposal, ensuring data integrity in the asset management system.
- Configure, customize and support ServiceNow IT Asset Management modules to track hardware inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Integrate hardware data with SAP and other enterprise systems, generating regular reports and dashboards using SQL and Excel.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, security and operations teams to enforce ITIL‑based change and release controls for hardware assets.
- Perform periodic audits, reconcile physical counts with system records, and drive corrective actions to meet compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT/hardware asset management, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
- Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management and SAP integration.
- Proficiency in SQL queries and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and asset lifecycle best practices.
