About the role
Key Responsibilities
Provide L3 support for Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and related ecosystem components.
Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and implement capacity planning.
Collaborate with data engineering and DevOps teams to deploy and upgrade Hadoop services on Google Cloud Platform.
Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
Document incident responses, root causes, and preventive measures.
Requirements
5+ years of experience supporting Hadoop clusters in production environments.
Strong knowledge of HDFS architecture, YARN, and related tools such as Spark and Hive.
Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (GCS, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage).
Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
