Lead a high‑performing team of protection and control engineers to deliver critical transmission substation and line projects, driving power system reliability and innovation across Victoria.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of protection and control engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and commissioning of substation and transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with project managers, field teams, and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Drive technical innovation, evaluating new protection schemes, control strategies, and equipment to enhance system performance.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in power system engineering, with a focus on substation and transmission line projects.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, SCADA, and power system analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
