Systems Engineer
Design, develop, and integrate ground‑based systems for space and intelligence missions, applying systems engineering, RF testing, and software development using C++, Python, and MATLAB.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and integration of ground‑segment hardware and software for satellite and space‑based missions.
- Develop and execute RF test plans, performance validation, and troubleshooting for antenna, receiver, and transmitter subsystems.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to capture requirements, create functional models, and manage configuration baselines.
- Write and maintain mission‑critical software components and scripts in C++, Python, and MATLAB for data processing, telemetry handling, and automation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including mission planners, payload engineers, and intelligence analysts—to ensure seamless end‑to‑end system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in ground systems engineering, RF testing, or satellite communications.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and MATLAB for developing test tools and data analysis scripts.
- Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Familiarity with MBSE methodologies (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and configuration management processes.
