Systems Engineer
Design, develop, and integrate ground segment software and hardware for satellite missions, leveraging C++, Linux, RF, and Python to ensure reliable communication and data handling.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ground segment software components for satellite telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) using C++ and Python.
- Develop and maintain Linux‑based infrastructure, including drivers, middleware, and real‑time processing pipelines.
- Perform RF system analysis, antenna integration, and link‑budget calculations to guarantee robust satellite communications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (payload, mission operations, hardware) to define system requirements and verify end‑to‑end performance.
- Conduct integration testing, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis of ground station hardware and software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of experience in ground segment or satellite communications.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python development on Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of RF engineering, antenna systems, and link‑budget analysis.
- Experience with systems engineering processes, requirement management, and verification testing.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
