Graduate Researcher in Deep Reinforcement Learning for Aerospace Production - Airbus Defence and Space GmbH

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and train deep reinforcement learning models to improve manufacturing workflows in aerospace production.
• Implement simulation environments using ROS and AirSim to test and validate RL algorithms.
• Analyze large datasets from production lines to extract insights and inform model design.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate RL solutions into existing production systems.
• Document research findings and present results to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning, particularly reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of ROS, simulation tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
