Software Engineer
Graduate Mechanical Engineer for a high‑speed train manufacturing program, supporting design, analysis, and production of EMU train sets using CAD, FEA, and modern manufacturing techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in developing detailed mechanical designs for EMU train components using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Perform finite element analysis and stress calculations to validate design integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and GD&T specifications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including electrical, systems, and supply chain—to ensure design feasibility and timely delivery.
- Participate in prototype build, testing, and iteration cycles, documenting results and recommending design improvements.
- Contribute to project schedules, risk assessments, and cost‑tracking activities to meet program milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong academic record.
- Proficiency in 3‑D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with GD&T principles.
- Experience or coursework in finite element analysis, stress testing, or related simulation tools.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for rail vehicle components, including machining, welding, and assembly.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary, fast‑paced project environments.
