About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary FOIA Officer, overseeing all request intake, processing, and response workflows.
- Conduct consultations with stakeholders to determine appropriate record disposition and release of classified information.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, agency policies, and security protocols for sensitive intelligence functions.
- Maintain accurate records of FOIA requests, decisions, and correspondence, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with legal, security, and intelligence teams to resolve complex information requests and protect national security interests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Law, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in FOIA administration or records management within a federal or intelligence environment.
- In-depth knowledge of FOIA statutes, regulations, and best practices for handling classified information.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high‑priority requests.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and maintain confidentiality.
