Systems Engineer
Senior GN&C Systems Engineer responsible for designing, modeling, and validating guidance, navigation and control systems for lunar lander missions, leveraging MATLAB/Simulink, C++ and model‑based design to ensure safe, reusable spacecraft operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate guidance, navigation and control algorithms for lunar lander vehicles using model‑based design techniques.
- Create high‑fidelity spacecraft dynamics models in MATLAB/Simulink and validate performance through simulation and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements, interface specifications, and verification plans.
- Lead trade studies and performance analyses to optimize GN&C architecture for reusability, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Document design decisions, generate technical reports, and support reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; 8+ years of GN&C or spacecraft systems experience.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C++ and model‑based development workflows.
- Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, control theory, and guidance algorithms for lunar descent and ascent.
- Experience with requirements management, system integration, and verification & validation processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a high‑performance engineering environment.
