Global Product Manager, Research Reagents is responsible for defining portfolio strategy and leading lifecycle management for research reagent solutions, identifying customer needs, shaping roadmap priorities, and influencing cross-functional execution to drive business growth across the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences portfolio.
This position reports to the Head of Research Reagents and Consumables and is part of the Product Management organization.
Location is on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Define and drive a 3–5-year portfolio strategy and product roadmap for research reagents and adjacent life sciences solutions
- Identify and prioritize high-value customer needs, application trends, and market opportunities across research reagent categories
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, including opportunity assessment, business case development, launch planning, and lifecycle optimization
- Influence cross-functional teams across R&D, operations, marketing and sales to align execution with portfolio priorities and business objectives
- Develop competitive intelligence, external partnership recommendations, and strategic insights to inform portfolio decisions and growth priorities
The essential requirements of the job include:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life sciences discipline preferred; candidates with a Master's degree and significant relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Progressive experience in product management, portfolio strategy, applications, marketing, or other commercial roles within the life sciences industry, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility, scope, and business impact.
- Deep domain expertise in genomics reagents, life sciences tools, and customer applications, with a strong understanding of the needs and workflows of academic, biotech, and biopharma customers.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product and portfolio strategies based on customer insights, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and business objectives to drive growth and deliver results.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority and effectively communicating with technical, commercial, and senior leadership stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations.
