About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Software and Systems Team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and long‑term technology strategy across Bath, London, Leeds and Manchester.
- Develop and enforce governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, security and best‑practice standards across all IT platforms.
- Drive optimisation initiatives, identifying and implementing improvements to increase system reliability, performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable, secure technology solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations and procurement of cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex IT systems in a global, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of governance, security, and compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
- Hands‑on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise software stacks.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid, fast‑paced setting with multiple office locations.
