Systems Engineer
Design, implement, and optimize global building performance systems using IoT sensors, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort across a worldwide portfolio.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable software solutions for real‑time monitoring and control of building systems across multiple regions.
- Integrate IoT sensor data with cloud services (AWS) to enable predictive analytics and automated optimization of HVAC, lighting, and energy usage.
- Collaborate with facilities engineers and data scientists to translate performance metrics into actionable improvement strategies.
- Design and implement APIs and data pipelines that ensure secure, high‑volume data flow between on‑site equipment and central analytics platforms.
- Conduct performance testing, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement cycles to meet sustainability and compliance targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in building automation or IoT systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for embedded and cloud‑based development.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (IoT Core, Lambda, S3, Kinesis) and data analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems, including protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a global, fast‑paced environment and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
