The Football Association is seeking a Goalkeeping Casual Coach Developer to play a key role in strengthening and growing the coaching network across England. In this rewarding position, you will deliver high-quality England Football Learning courses, facilitate practical goalkeeping sessions, and create an inclusive learning environment that inspires collaboration, discussion and development.
What will you do?
- Support learners in linking online learning with face-to-face components, delivering an effective learning environment using a range of teaching approaches to meet the needs of the learners.
- Understands how to apply FA Learning principles to activity design and delivery, ensuring it helps the coach transfer knowledge into their context with effective feedback.
- Teach the role-specific requirements of a Goalkeeper, supporting the contextualisation into learners' setting using an inquiry-based approach whilst aiding the learner's reflective thinking.
- Deliver effective and engaging practical goalkeeping sessions on pitch that meet learners' needs; demonstrating excellent understanding of technical and tactical concepts aligned to the contexts of the coaches' work.
- Builds high levels of rapport with learners, creating a learning environment where learners feel comfortable to share and discuss.
- Enthuses learners to want to continue learning beyond the formal aspects of the qualification.
- Conducts themselves in the manner intended and in line with the FA's Coach Developer Code of Conduct.
- Maintain mandatory training requirements, ensuring they are up to date at all times.
- Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.
What You'll Need?
Essential for the role:
- FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football.
- FA Level 3 in Coaching Goalkeepers (UEFA Goalkeeping B Diploma).
- Extensive experience within Goalkeeper coaching in both coaching and coach development settings.
- Experience of delivering to adults in an education setting.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Experience and knowledge of creating an inclusive delivery environment.
- Relevant knowledge across the coach development framework.
- Experience of responding to the developmental needs of individual coaches.
- Competent use of learning technology.
- FA Level 2 in Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)*
- FA Safeguarding Children* & FA DBS*
- Can be attained once successful in appointment.
Beneficial to have:
- FA Level 4 (UEFA A) in Coaching Goalkeepers (Essential for those delivering on UEFA Goalkeeping B Diploma).
