Devops Engineer
GIS Platform Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining ESRI-based GIS solutions across on‑premise, Azure, and ESRI cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for federal agency operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and administer ESRI GIS infrastructure on-premise, Azure, and ESRI cloud platforms.
- Perform system engineering tasks, including configuration, patching, and performance tuning of GIS servers and services.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, backup, and monitoring of GIS components.
- Collaborate with data scientists and application developers to integrate GIS data into enterprise applications.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and support Public Trust clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and related GIS products.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services (VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking) and cloud deployment best practices.
- Hands‑on scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with system monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery for GIS environments.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
