Lead the design and implementation of scalable GIS data pipelines on AWS, leveraging ArcGIS and Athena to expose high‑performance APIs, while ensuring continuous integration and delivery for rapid, reliable deployments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust GIS data ingestion pipelines using AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) and ArcGIS tools.
- Design and expose performant APIs for GIS data access and analytics.
- Implement CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline) to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize spatial queries and data models.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all GIS data assets.
Requirements
- Proven experience with GIS technologies, especially ArcGIS, and spatial data processing.
- Strong background in AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Hands‑on expertise in API design, RESTful services, and version control.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data and application deployments.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
