Geomatics Engineering Survey Assistant supporting field and office surveying, GIS data processing, and remote sensing analysis using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and GPS technology to deliver accurate spatial information for sustainable community projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in field data collection using GPS and total station equipment, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with survey standards.
- Process and analyze spatial data in ArcGIS, creating maps, layers, and reports for project stakeholders.
- Support remote sensing tasks, including image acquisition, preprocessing, and interpretation for land use and environmental assessments.
- Maintain and update survey databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for team use.
- Collaborate with engineers and planners to integrate survey results into project designs and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and AutoCAD, with experience in GPS and total station operations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in spatial data handling.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with remote sensing techniques and software is a plus.
