Software Engineer
Senior Technical Specialist focused on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, Dataflow, SQL, Python, and data modeling tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Google BigQuery to support high‑volume data ingestion and transformation.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, aggregate, and analyze large datasets for business intelligence and reporting.
- Develop Python scripts for automation, data cleansing, and custom data manipulation tasks.
- Implement streaming and batch processing workflows using Google Dataflow (Apache Beam) to ensure reliable data movement.
- Create and maintain logical/physical data models with CA Erwin Data Modeler to support enterprise data architecture.
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery and Dataflow.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering and automation.
- Experience designing data models and using CA Erwin Data Modeler or equivalent modeling tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
