QA Engineer
Design and execute comprehensive test coverage for game mechanics, math, and server features while collaborating with designers, artists, and programmers to ensure high‑quality gameplay experiences.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases that cover gameplay, mathematical calculations, and server interactions.
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and programmers to understand feature intent and translate it into effective test scenarios.
- Execute functional, regression, and performance testing, logging defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.
- Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot bugs using debugging tools and scripting to reproduce issues across multiple platforms.
- Provide timely feedback to development teams, influencing design decisions and prioritizing fixes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in game testing or quality assurance within a game development environment.
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, math systems, and client‑server architecture.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, C#) for test automation or bug reproduction.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and clear defect reporting.
