Software Engineer
Functional Quality Engineer responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans to validate software against design specifications, using SQL and Agile practices to drive product quality improvements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive functional test plans for new and existing features across lending, payments, and universal banking modules.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and regression testing.
- Analyze test results, provide actionable feedback, and recommend process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
- Maintain test artifacts, including test cases, test scripts, and defect logs, in a centralized test management system.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, retrospectives, backlog grooming) to align testing activities with product goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of functional testing experience in a software development environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and test data preparation.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is a plus.
