About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of a scalable AI learning platform built on WordPress, PHP, and SQL.
- Design and implement custom WordPress plugins and themes, ensuring performance, security, and extensibility.
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI models and services into the platform’s user experience.
- Refactor legacy code, recommend modern architecture, and migrate components to a micro‑service or serverless stack when appropriate.
- Write clean, testable code, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional PHP development with deep WordPress customisation experience.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimisation.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Experience integrating third‑party APIs and AI services (e.g., OpenAI, TensorFlow).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication.
