Frontend Developer
Early‑career Front‑End Web Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining responsive, user‑friendly web interfaces for research‑focused sites using modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement responsive web pages that align with the Strategic Communications Office’s branding and usability standards.
- Develop and maintain front‑end code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React components.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and back‑end developers to ensure seamless integration of UI elements.
- Perform cross‑browser and cross‑device testing, troubleshoot UI issues, and optimize performance.
- Maintain version control using Git and document code changes for team reference.
Requirements
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a solid understanding of modern front‑end frameworks (e.g., React).
- Experience creating responsive, accessible designs and a strong eye for UI/UX details.
- Familiarity with version‑control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary research team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
