Front-end Development Engineer

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated front-end developer who has strong Angular experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about developing impactful, high performance web applications using the latest technologies and design patterns. As a strong developer, you work best in a client driven and agile environment, with supportive teammates.

Responsibilities

Design and build new features for our customers

Write scalable, performant, readable and tested code

Participate in technical decisions and collaborate with talented peers

Collaborate with product owners and user experience specialists from concept through delivery on features and product experience

Review code, implementations and give meaningful feedback that helps others build better solutions

Refine our JavaScript frameworks, processes and standards

Take responsibility and ownership of assigned deliverables and timelines

Requirements

Skills and Knowledge

• Expert in Angular (2+) single page application design, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proficient in API authentication, usage and integration
• 5+ years of development experience, working primarily on the front-end technologies
• Proficient in DOM manipulation, responsive and mobile front-end design
• Experience evaluating, measuring, and tuning application performance, especially for the front-end
• Familiarity with commercial and open source component libraries and able to customize use for optimal value
• Hands on experience managing web application deployment in a Azure cloud environment
• Consistent record of shipping high-quality features
• Proficient applying principles of good user experience and accessibility
• Agile experience and strong interpersonal skills and drive. Excellent communication skills required, able to contribute to discussions on design and strategy
• Work on Toronto business hours
• Available to attend in-person team meetings (quarterly)
