Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of FPGA-based RF signal processing and control systems, leveraging VHDL/Verilog and embedded C to develop high-performance, real-time solutions for advanced research applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate FPGA firmware for RF signal acquisition, processing, and control.
- Implement high-speed digital signal processing algorithms in VHDL/Verilog, ensuring real-time performance and low latency.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate FPGA solutions with RF front‑ends and control electronics.
- Develop embedded C drivers and interfaces for FPGA‑based modules.
- Perform system-level testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
Requirements
- Strong experience with FPGA development and VHDL/Verilog coding.
- Proficiency in RF signal processing concepts and digital communication systems.
- Solid background in embedded C and real‑time control systems.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm prototyping is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
