- Own the full FPGA development lifecycle from requirements gathering to final silicon validation.
- Translate algorithmic models into efficient VHDL/Verilog RTL, ensuring timing, power, and area targets are met.
- Perform comprehensive simulation, synthesis, and place‑and‑route using vendor tools (Vivado, Quartus, Libero).
- Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers to integrate FPGA logic into system‑level designs.
- Implement and verify high‑speed serial interfaces, RF/EO digital signal processing blocks, and other advanced application logic.
- Maintain design documentation, version control, and test benches for repeatable, traceable development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of FPGA design experience with VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx, Altera, or Microsemi devices.
- Strong background in RTL design, timing analysis, and high‑speed serial interface implementation.
- Proficiency with vendor toolchains (Vivado, Quartus, Libero) and simulation environments (ModelSim, Questa).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
