Lead the design and architecture of FPGA systems for a cutting‑edge neuromonitoring device, driving real‑time data acquisition, DSP, and high‑speed communication using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx/Intel platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end design, architecture, and implementation of FPGA subsystems for optical signal acquisition and processing.
- Develop high‑performance digital signal processing pipelines in VHDL/Verilog to meet stringent real‑time latency requirements.
- Engineer high‑speed serial interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS) for data transfer between FPGA, host processors, and external modules.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware teams to integrate FPGA logic with embedded processors and system‑level software.
- Validate designs through simulation, hardware prototyping, and rigorous verification methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of FPGA design experience in a medical or high‑performance embedded environment.
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog and experience with Xilinx/Intel FPGA toolchains.
- Strong background in digital signal processing and real‑time system design.
- Experience with high‑speed serial protocols and board‑level integration.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
