About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a robust, scalable data layer that ingests, stores, and serves multimodal biomedical data for AI drug discovery pipelines.
- Develop and optimize machine‑learning and deep‑learning models for target identification, molecular generation, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with AI research labs and pharma partners to translate scientific hypotheses into data‑driven experiments and production‑grade workflows.
- Establish data governance, quality control, and reproducibility standards across heterogeneous datasets (omics, imaging, assay results).
- Lead the selection and integration of cloud services (AWS) and data‑engineering tools (SQL, data lakes, orchestration) to ensure high‑throughput processing.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, or a related field with a strong publication record.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and modern ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to biomedical problems.
- Hands‑on experience building data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud‑based infrastructure (AWS, S3, EC2, Lambda).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific questions into scalable analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross‑functional research and engineering teams.
