Software Engineer
A Forward Deployed Engineer will embed with customers to design, integrate, and optimize Virtru's data protection platform, leveraging Python, Java, Go, and AWS while applying strong encryption and API expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to architect and implement secure data protection solutions using Virtru's Trusted Data Format.
- Develop custom integrations, SDKs, and automation scripts in Python, Java, and Go to meet client-specific workflows.
- Design, deploy, and troubleshoot cloud‑native services on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and best‑practice recommendations on encryption, key management, and secure API usage.
- Capture feedback from deployments to influence product roadmaps and improve platform usability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Hands‑on experience building and securing cloud services on AWS.
- Deep understanding of modern encryption techniques, key management, and secure API design.
- Proven ability to work closely with customers, translate requirements into technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one) and a passion for data privacy and protection.
