About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed forensic investigations of structural failures, including site inspections, data collection, and evidence preservation.
- Perform advanced structural analysis and failure mode assessments using finite element modeling and other analytical tools.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, expert witness statements, and litigation support documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including legal counsel, architects, and construction professionals, to provide actionable recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging forensic methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on forensic or failure analysis.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in forensic structural investigations or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD, finite element analysis software (e.g., ABAQUS, ANSYS), and materials testing protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
