About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, incident response, and compliance with federal standards.
- Collaborate with diplomatic staff to align technology solutions with mission objectives and local regulations.
- Manage cross‑functional teams, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Provide technical training and support to diplomatic personnel, fostering digital literacy and resilience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, cybersecurity, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑cultural collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Foreign Service career.
