Software Engineer
Lead the design, analysis, and code compliance of fire protection and life‑safety systems for commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical facilities, ensuring adherence to NFPA, IBC, IFC, and local AHJ requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering design and analysis for fire protection systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, clean agent, and special suppression solutions.
- Develop, review, and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Interpret and apply NFPA, IBC, IFC, and local AHJ requirements to ensure full code compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate fire protection systems into overall building design and construction.
- Provide technical guidance and support during construction, commissioning, and hand‑off to facilities management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, IFC, and local AHJ regulations.
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or specialized fire design tools).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
