Implementation Engineer
Design, deploy, and maintain autonomous trucking hardware and software in the field, integrating sensors, compute platforms, and vehicle systems using C++, Python, ROS, and Linux.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and validate perception and control hardware on commercial trucks in field environments.
- Develop and maintain integration software using C++, Python, and ROS to connect sensors, compute units, and vehicle networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site, providing rapid root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to translate prototype designs into production‑ready field solutions.
- Document integration procedures, test results, and configuration standards for repeatable deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years of hands‑on experience in vehicle integration.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python development on Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ROS, sensor fusion, and real‑time data pipelines for autonomous systems.
- Experience installing and calibrating LiDAR, radar, camera, and GNSS hardware on moving platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently in field conditions, and effective communication with cross‑functional teams.
