About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of field technicians and engineers across multiple sites, ensuring timely installation, maintenance, and repair of complex automated systems.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on new equipment and best practices, keeping the team up-to-date with the latest automation technologies.
- Coordinate with the Global Automation Engineering team to align field activities with design specifications, performance metrics, and safety standards.
- Analyze field performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to support efficient field operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in field service or automation engineering, with a proven track record of managing technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation components (PLC, SCADA, robotics) and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis for performance monitoring.
- Ability to travel as needed to support global field operations.
