Software Engineer
Field Engineer responsible for constructing, operating, and maintaining anaerobic digesters on dairy farms, leveraging mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation expertise to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable renewable energy production.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site construction and commissioning of anaerobic digesters, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to maximize plant uptime.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans for new installations and upgrades.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and maintain compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Document all work activities, generate progress reports, and provide technical support to farm operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- 3+ years of field experience in renewable energy or industrial plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of anaerobic digestion processes, equipment, and control systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple farm sites.
