Software Engineer
Mechanical Field Engineer responsible for on‑site execution of construction projects, ensuring design intent, quality, safety and schedule alignment using mechanical engineering principles and CAD tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on‑site mechanical installation, commissioning and testing activities for large‑scale energy and resources projects.
- Interpret and enforce design drawings, specifications and quality standards to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation) to resolve interface issues and maintain project schedule.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures, conduct risk assessments and enforce regulatory compliance.
- Prepare progress reports, field documentation and as‑built drawings for project handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of field engineering experience in the energy, chemicals or resources sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with FEA tools.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
