Software Engineer
Field Engineer responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining biometric attendance and access control systems, providing onsite and remote support, and training customers on best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission biometric attendance machines (face, fingerprint, RFID) and access control hardware (door locks, EM locks, controllers, exit switches, barrier gates).
- Conduct site visits for troubleshooting, servicing, and preventive maintenance of security equipment.
- Provide online/remote support and on‑site assistance to resolve customer issues.
- Coordinate with support and backend teams to resolve complex problems and document solutions.
- Train customers on basic usage, best practices, and system upkeep.
- Maintain detailed service reports and installation documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Electronic and Communication Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SMD soldering and basic electronic troubleshooting.
- Experience with biometric and access control technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train end users.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently on site.
