Software Engineer
Lead the integrity of fibre network data, combining GIS analysis, data governance, and system development to ensure accurate, complete, and timely geospatial inventory for a high‑performance telecom network.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the fibre inventory database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across all network assets.
- Conduct GIS analysis and spatial data validation to support network planning, maintenance, and expansion projects.
- Develop and automate data pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, transform, and reconcile data from multiple sources.
- Implement data governance frameworks, including data quality metrics, audit trails, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with Fibre Engineering Services, Operations, and IT teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve data workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial database management.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and data quality best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in the telecom or utilities sector is a plus.
