About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and service robotic milking, feeding, and barn automation equipment on client farms.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software faults in real‑time, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with farmers to optimize system performance and train staff on operation and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records, generate reports, and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Participate in field trials and pilot projects to refine product design and functionality.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming, sensor integration, and industrial robotics.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in rural environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern England.
