Software Engineer
Develop and maintain advanced analytics tools for tracking natural and non‑natural catastrophe exposure, integrating data pipelines and visualisations across insurance and reinsurance business units.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a suite of analytical tools for monitoring catastrophe accumulation exposure.
- Develop data pipelines to ingest, cleanse, and transform exposure data from internal and external sources.
- Create interactive visualisations and dashboards to communicate exposure metrics to underwriting, risk, and finance teams.
- Integrate exposure analytics outputs with existing enterprise systems and reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements and ensure seamless data consumption.
- Continuously improve performance, scalability, and reliability of exposure models using cloud services.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in Python (or R) for data analysis and modelling.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands‑on experience building data visualisations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for deploying and scaling analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of geospatial data concepts and tools for catastrophe exposure mapping.
