Systems Engineer
Lead complex, enterprise‑wide systems engineering for critical GEOINT missions, driving technical decisions, architecture, and integration across national and allied geospatial intelligence systems using modern tools and cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for GEOINT missions, defining architecture, requirements, and verification across the National and Allied Geospatial‑Intelligence systems.
- Drive Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, creating and maintaining system models, interface control documents, and trade studies.
- Collaborate with partner federal agencies and allied organizations to ensure interoperability, data sharing, and compliance with security standards.
- Provide technical leadership for integration of cloud‑based services (e.g., AWS) and software components written in Python and C++.
- Influence enterprise‑level technical decisions, mentor junior engineers, and represent the engineering team in stakeholder reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in systems engineering processes, MBSE tools, and lifecycle management for geospatial intelligence systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++ for prototyping, automation, and integration tasks.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and implementing secure, scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities in a multi‑agency environment.
